Designing a Practical Step and Repeat Back Drop or Banner

While hosting or sponsoring an event, a step and repeat banner can be a highly useful thing. These items can catch people’s attention towards your brand. Simultaneously, the guests would also get a backdrop for brand images. Guests can share these photos, and the viewers would see the brand or logo repeated all across the back drop. While step and repeat back drops may seem simple and straightforward to implement, there are a few things to keep in mind when designing one. Not doing so, would create an unreliable back drop that won’t sustain over extended periods of usage.

Here are the key steps to make a highly optimized and customized design for the brand banner.

Choosing the right banner size is the most basic and the very first step for the whole process. As these back drops would also serve as image backdrops, their size must be sufficiently large that can be easily extended above and also on both sides.

Once the right size is determined, you need to get the logo right. This would vary from one business requirement to another, however, a general rule of thumb is to get a size that is neither too big nor too small, keeping into account that the texts and symbols are visible.

Spacing is important when designing step and repeat banners. You need to provide an ample amount of space between logos and designs. The mantra here is to create such a design where there is enough space in between the logos. Each logo must be easily distinguishable from the other.

Using high-quality and high-resolution images is a must to get the best output when designing a banner. The higher is the resolution, the more clarity will the printed design provide. Experts recommend using a final output resolution of 100 dots per inch (DPI) for the best results for the project.

Some other key tips to keep in mind include choosing contrasting colors, design keeping the event in mind, and making all the necessary steps to avoid glare in the design.

Using all the tips mentioned above, you should do fairly well with the step and repeat back drops design for your event.
